In 2005, we heard the call. We felt the nudge. Sell everything. Get rid of your home. Buy an RV. Travel full-time. Nope. No way. That’s crazy. We had two children. One was a toddler, one a newborn. There’s no way. We can’t do that! We have two children. We have to be responsible! Well. 14 years later, we’ve sold everything of value. We have no home. We live in our RV. Traveling full-time. With three children. Two are teenagers, one just turned 11. Turns out, there’s a way.
We’re originally from Arkansas. Now, we go wherever God leads us. Literally. We stay where He tells us to stay. We say we’re ‘local…for now.’ We leave when He tells us to leave. We do attempt to plan – but we hold those plans very loosely. Men plan, but God prevails. We’re a mess! Nothing like what we envisioned missionaries to be. We’re very real. Very honest. Transparent – to a fault at times. We’re vulnerable. We fall in love with every place we ever visit, and with all the people we meet. We try hard. We fail often. We try again.
We love the life we’ve been called to live. How long will we do this? No idea. But. We spent years living for ourselves. We can’t wait to see how God uses the rest of our lives for His glory.
