“Let each generation tell its children of Your mighty acts; let them proclaim Your power. I will meditate on Your majestic, glorious splendor and Your wonderful miracles. Your awe-inspiring deeds will be be on every tongue; I will proclaim Your greatness. Everyone will share the story of Your wonderful goodness; they will sing with joy about Your righteousness.” – Psalms 145:4-7
You know what the entire Bible is? A collection of testimonies. A testament to God’s goodness. His faithfulness. His anger at us – and His forgiveness. His never ending love. The entire inspired Word of God is…a story. A story written for our benefit. We believe that story did not end with the 1st century church. It continues to this day. But, are we telling our children of His mighty acts? Are His awe-inspiring deeds still on every tongue? Do we proclaim His greatness?
This is our goal. To create a platform where everyone will share the story of His wonderful goodness. You see, we feel like we’ve lost something. Something precious. The New Testament is largely a collection of letters from one church body to another. Do we do that today? Do we really know what’s going on in the church – in our own country? Do you know what God is up to in Maine? In Nevada? In Washington? In Florida? If you’re like most of us…no. You don’t.
Campfire Ministries exists to share the stories of what God is doing in the lives of His people across the United States. Will we eventually branch out to other nations? Lord willing, yes. But we start here. Our aim is to be a witness – to unify the body of Christ, as well as provide a platform for expressing struggles, asking for prayers, glorifying God, encouraging others, and sharing humorous stories to help lighten this earthly load.
While this ministry is not explicitly evangelical, we believe God will use the stories of His people to both encourage believers and show His unfailing love to those who haven’t experienced it for themselves. “Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the Gospel.” – Philippians 1:12
Gather ’round. Share the stories. See what God has done.
